Madcitizen was formed in 2008 by 2-time MTV Movie Award nominee, writer and producer Zan Passante. 

We're mad about creating relevant content that tells a story while being visually stunning. We think about details like "which typeface fits an animation best" and "what color it should be." We use style guides when creating for a brand. We care about aesthetic. We're also easy to work with and pretty darn fun to be around. From concept, to production, to the final cut, Madcitizen delivers stellar content on all digital platforms. Mad creativity makes happy results.

Madcitizen has produced over 25 branded content videos for A&E's Lifetime Moms Network and hundreds of brand content videos for consumer goods brands. We're currently developing branded content and original series for broadcast. 


Zan has notably contributed his array of talents to the music, marketing, TV and film industries. 

In 2001, Zan moved to Los Angeles to focus his creative efforts on line producing and content creation for direct response commercials that included the Magic Bullet Blender, Humane Society, Power 90 and the Baby Bullet. He has worked as a production manager and producer for industry leaders such as EURO RSCG Ad Agency, Capital Brands and Cort Howell, and has been nominated for two MTV Movie Awards for his comedic film short spoofs. Zan also spent several years cutting his teeth in the branding world, running the digital division at the award-winning agency Meat and Potatoes as Executive Producer, creating stellar content for global brands. He recently finished his first feature-length animated musical project, now garnering attention amongst Hollywood studios.
